My name is Becca Cohn. I am a Texas State graduate with a Master’s in Social Work and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Indiana University. I have over a decade of social work experience that includes working with diverse populations in nonprofits, crisis settings, inpatient programs, jails, and hospitals, both acute and emergency departments. I am under the clinical supervision of Bolutife Dosumu, LCSW-S

As a social worker, I bring a strengths-based approach to my work, believing strongly in the resiliency of my clients. I am a firm believer that mental health services should be accessible to all, especially traditionally underserved populations. I am a supporter of diversity and inclusion and an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community.

I identify as both culturally and religiously Jewish. I enjoy exploring how your culture and beliefs have impacted your life. I am open to working with individuals of all cultural and religious backgrounds.

I have experience working with adults and adolescents dealing with depression, hopelessness, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis. Together, we can work on coping skills, resolving conflict, setting boundaries, effective communication, and confident decision-making.
