My name is Aminah Austin, LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker). I am a Christian, Black American Woman. I am currently under clinical supervision under Bolutife Dosumu, LCSW-S. I am from Kansas City, Kansas (GO CHIEFS!!) I love exploring and immersing myself in diverse cultures. I love all things encompassing fine arts and physical activity.

I specialize in mental health and substance use. I received a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. I am a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Arlington where I obtained my master’s in social work. I have a background in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention. I have experience working with individuals who suffered from physical, psychological, and or sexual abuse in addition to mood and anxiety disorders.

I am passionate about working with the youth and young adult population. These years are imperative for building a solid foundation and increasing lasting success. My therapeutic approach will always be Person-Centered. My goal is to meet every client where they are in life. I strive to help guide each client on their healing journeys by encouraging the discovery and utilization of individual strengths to get them to their desired outcome.
