Families are systems. Oftentimes, if one part of the system is failing, it negatively affects the other parts of the system. Many times, when this happens people refer to this phenomenon as a “malfunction.” Well as you know, families are not machines that simply “malfunction.” However, families are not able to function at the optimal level when a family member(s) are battling depression, anxiety, trauma, relational violations or lack of boundaries. Furthermore, life changes such as a death, divorce, marriage and the like can affect the equilibrium of the family system. Professional guidance is needed to successfully transition. I can and will offer family counseling to help with these changes.
