Hello, my name is Lori Burnett, LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) and I am under the clinical supervision of Bolutife Dosumu, LCSW-S.

Whatever reason you have decided to engage in therapy, know you are not alone in your desire to heal, find balance, gain focus, or rediscover joy. Our fast-paced, chaotic, and divided lives only seem to add to feelings of aloneness and hopelessness, and talking to someone can help find comfort and peace within our ever-changing world.

Over my career, I have had the opportunity to listen and learn from the very best teachers, my clients. Incorporating a strengths-based, relational, trauma-informed approach to therapy, I find great joy in working with individuals in their pursuit for overall well-being. Whether it be through self-exploration, mindfulness practices, harm-reduction approaches, goal setting, conflict resolution, or effective communication strategies, I believe in supporting clients with respect and dignity, while providing a safe and judgement-free space for healing.

Navigating my privilege has been a journey to better understand myself and how I can support and serve clients across demographic boundaries. This journey of self-exploration and over 20 years in recreation therapy and social work shapes my practice at Glasshouse Effect Psychotherapy Center. My allyship and advocacy extends through the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, parents, single adults, those struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, to those experiencing general life stressors or transitions. It would be an honor to work with you on your road to improved emotional, spiritual, and overall health and wellness.
